Raw and Real Conversation
Here is what people use ChatGPT for (and they should not):
To respond to WhatsApp messages 😢
To post content on social
To create any piece of work that requires emotional labour and understanding
Here is what people should use ChatGPT for (and they don’t):
To conduct research on a topic
To detect tonality of what they have written
Anything that is mechanical and repeatable
Anything that could be done by anyone, and does not necessarily define you
Anytime you want to understand something, and need help of someone who knows about “things”
Now, first things first, I am not against ChatGPT or AI.
These are wonderful tools. I do use both ChatGPT and Claude. (To be my assistants. For research. Or to explain a topic I would usually turn to Google for.)
But the problem with most people is, they use it in lieu of their work, not to help them.
AI is a tool to help you aid your understanding, not to replace it.
ChatGPT cannot tell what you feel about Mr. Ratan Tata’s demise.
It is almost uncanny that you respond to a friend who asked for your opinion, using a ChatGPT generated opinion.
It almost makes me pity those who do not have a point of view and rely on artificial intelligence to replace their thinking with.
But if we step back for a moment, here is why most people are scared to share what is on their mind:
Most people do not think much. They are merely consuming endlessly. Miles to “swipe” before they sleep.
Even if they do have an opinion, they don’t know how to structure it. Either by saying or by writing. My eBook Every Writer Needs to Read This helps a lot of people (both writers and non-writers) overcome that.
(This one is scary.) Most people want to appear smarter. So they numb their voice and let the ChatGPT take over. That is so sad! Because no one in the world could have an opinion like you. As long as you communicate it respectfully, you should communicate it, my friend! Oh yes, if the tonality is respectful or not, do ask ChatGPT for an opinion. But don’t ask it to give an entire opinion na :)
As AI takes over the world one day at a time, it won’t replace all jobs.
It would replace those jobs that do not have a spiky point of view or are not deep thinkers or do not have original thinking.
For people that replace AI before the AI replaces them, they have signed up for their career demise before the AI begins with that premise.
Don’t let that happen to you, my friend.
Having an opinion is hard. Not having one is harder.
Learn to have one, using this instant eBook.
2 Raw One Liners:
How you treat someone who has no right to affect you is who you truly are.
“Men think that women are not into them because they are not rich or good looking. But it’s because you are not kind, patient and understanding.” — Rujuta Diwekar
3 Real Gratitudes:
Chatted with a friend who spent 3 weeks away from phone (got it deposited) and learnt her experiences. Should have more such conversations :)
Forgave someone who didn’t ask for it :))
Did not react to things that would usually put me off. Rather, was extremely polite.
On that note, friends, wish you all a happy Dussehra. Your goodness will always triumph vices. :) :)
Thank you :)
