Gabbar is a supercool Twitter influencer.
He recently posted a picture of going for his toddler’s pre nursery race, where she spotted her mother in the audience and ran back to both her Mom and Gabbar, without finishing the race.
When I read that post, I was quite touched by it.
It was so special. The kid started crying in the middle of the rat race, so she ran to her parents.
What if we all had the courage to emotionally return to our parents when we are tired of the corporate rat race?
Thus, I posted this as a response:
Turns out, it has gone on to become one of the most viral tweets of mine this year.
When you go read the comments, you can see how it touched a chord with so many people.
…
Which is what I want to talk to you about, today, ladies and gentlemen.
In December, I launched a new project for 2024: The Year of Writing Miraculously.
In 2024, every month, I am going to be writing an eBook. So 12 eBooks a year.
The first eBook of 2024 just dropped (yes yes, the book got delayed because your girl was bed-ridden first three weeks of January, but no more delays).
The January eBook is called:
The Corporate Life Handbook. (click to know more)
170+ pages. 111 chapters. Lessons from 9 years of my corporate life.
Here is what the book does NOT do:
I won’t ask you to quit your job. There are more ways to be happy in your job (and life) instead of running away from them.
Here is what the book tells you to, btw:
Why you must fire your CFO today (for all the reasons you didn’t imagine)
Why we should normalise professional break-ups (just like romantic break ups :))
The most difficult thing I have ever shared on the internet
Career lessons from my 69 year old father (and his only regret in life)
The biggest mistake I ever made in my career
How to have fun at work (without ever losing your authenticity)
Why having a bad boss is a blessing (Yep, you read that right. No error here :))
Why you do not need to be an extrovert in order to win at work
What was a startling realisation I had sitting on my hospital bed
How there is no point comparing yourself to The Chandler Bing
And many many more quick-to-read, easy-to-absorb lessons, most of them being 1-2 pages long
Get the book here
PS: Not to miss, I also share a supercool way at the start of the book itself, on how you can make the best of this book, without too much cognitive load on yourself.
PPS: Only for 1 day, i.e., the pricing is at its introductory pricing. The prices rise in the morning of 12th February again, to never come back to this price again.
Hope you enjoy the book.
I’ll see you on the other side. And next Saturday, with another edition of Raw and Real.
