Hey Friends,
Welcome to another edition of Raw and Real, where every week we have:
1 Raw and Real Conversation

3 Real Gratitudes
Let’s go!
1 Raw and Real Conversation
The movie Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani has been a long time favourite for so many people, including me.
Of the friendships, love, relationships and the mix of all the emotions it came with, it also brought about the “travel around the world” philosophy of Bunny (played by Ranbir Kapoor).
So much so, that travelling around the world became the new cool.
People who started doing it were called “Bunny”.
People who didn’t were having serious FOMO.
But what if:
What if Bunny was running away from himself all through? (Which he was?)
What if happiness and peace of mind had nothing to do with incessant travels? (Like Naina and Aditi in the movie.)
What if sometimes we are in a habit of running just because we don’t want to listen to ourselves?
There have been countless times I have seen people travelling exactly because of that, but don’t admit.
People travelling to escape dealing with the loneliness of a breakup.
Or travelling because it lets you forget your world back home.
Or travelling because everyone else is!
I’d confess I have been one of them in the past.
But over the years, nothing, absolutely nothing has given me more peace of mind than following a discipline that I am proud of, in my home.
By no means I am saying that travelling is bad or you should not travel.
Of course, you must.
However, I do believe you will find your greatest joys in travels only when your life at home is in order, whatever that order means to you.
So, my friend, book that ticket. Save for that vacation. Click all those pictures and post them online.
But more than anything else, make sure you feel happy in the mundane and monotonous life you have built at home for yourself.
If your life at home is not as you want it to be (and it’s okay), maybe start with taking some small steps to change that as well?
You want to enjoy your travel. Not run away from yourself.
So why not enjoy the time when you don’t travel as well. So you have fun away with yourself, while travelling :)
2 Raw One-Liners
Almost everything gets better by having a full meal, a nature walk, and doing nothing for a few hours.
When I “want something” and forget about it and get back to taking action, the thing I wanted lands up somehow!
3 Real Gratitudes
For the good health. (You realise its importance only when you are brimming with energy and then you lose it for a while.)
The power of DMs and cold emails. I often write to people I admire just for thanking them for what they do, sometimes using words like bro (I legit did that to a VC this week) and never asking anything. (Nor do I intend to in the second conversation.) It is incredible when you discover how good the world is!
The spiritual audios on my phone. Last week was a week when I slept a lot to these spiritual audios. I think everyone must have them on their phones.
That is it, all you wonderful people!
Wish you a great weekend :)
