Hey People,
Welcome to another Saturday (okay Sunday), another day of Raw and Real, where each week, we share:
1 Raw and Real conversation on Life
2 One-Liners because quirk is quick
3 Gratitudes because gratitude → plentitude
Let’s go!!!
1 Raw and Real Life conversation
I have been working for almost 9 years now.
The first 5 years of which, I was officially in a non-writing job. I was only writing on the side.
However, “doing the work” was something I looked forward to, every single day. Still do.
When I had a job that was not my passion, I was:
Doing all I was supposed to do
Being on time
Focused during work hours
Working on my writing after/before office hours
And grateful for the job I had
When I have a job that is my passion, I still:
Work as per a process
Am changing things for the better
Learning new things
Figuring out how to overdeliver to clients and customers
Thinking about work when not working
That is how exactly it is supposed to be.
It turns out, we have hyped up our love for passion way too much, that we have forgotten that everything that looks glamorous and passion on the outside requires hard work.
Virat works on his strength.
Roger Federer works on his wrist.
Deepika Padukone works on her acting scripts.
Everyone does.
The rewards are glamourous. The process is boring.
Everything requires work. Even the thing that does not require work requires work.
This might be the best thing you read today. Or if not, you can choose to turn it into the best thing you read today.
You get to decide.
2 One-Liners
It’s not worth it to be surrounded by people who don’t believe in you.
You grow through what you go through.
3 Gratitudes
For meditation - sometimes family time at parents’ home is daunting because of relatives, and meditation really helps.
Good food - peanuts, bananas, makhanas - are all the snacks that make life easier and abs flatter :)
Being there for myself - A lot of us have not been taught to respect ourselves, mostly because of our childhood conditioning. Thus, whenever I speak up for myself and don’t tolerate anything bad, it makes me super proud.
That’s it, ladies and gentlemen.
Thanks for being a reader.
See you next week
